Dear Jim, it is now 12 months since you passed away and we miss you very much. It has been ages since we put the world to rights, got high and mighty and pissed (not in that order obviously), what will the country do without you?
My son never met you so fortunately I will be able to censor things when I tell him who he was named after and why. Despite being just 3 months old he does have some characteristics in common with you(drinking, sleeping, dribbling etc). But I hope he develops many more such as being the kind, witty, generous bon viveur and intellectual that you were.
